What is the Emergency Response Decision Support System (ERDSS)?
ERDSS is a first responder software designed to make decision making and
situational analysis faster and more accurate in the field. ERDSS provides
interpretations of data from first responder instruments to provide real-time safety suggestions
and threat analytics.
Am I eligible to use ERDSS?
The ERDSS is available for use for all approved military, law enforcement, and
first responder organizations (fire, Hazmat, etc.) in the U.S. and partnering countries. It is
not available in any other capacity.
How much does ERDSS cost?
ERDSS is free-of-charge for all approved organizations.
Is ERDSS compatible with my instruments?
ERDSS’s database encompasses the most common and widely available instruments and
detectors. A full list is contained within the application.
Will ERDSS work with my operating system?
The desktop version of ERDSS currently runs on Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10.
The software utilizes .Net version 4.7.2.
The iPad version of ERDSS currently runs on iOS 8 and higher. It is available on the App Store.
The Android version works with Android tablets only and is available for download through our software page.
My registration hasn’t gone through. What should I do?
Registration usually takes 24-48 hours when using a government email address, and up to 1-2
weeks for a free email account (such as gmail). If your registration is not dealt with in this
timeframe, contact us at
support@chemicalcompanion.org.
How will I know if I'm approved?
After the time period indicated above, you will receive an approval or rejection email.
What should I do if I’m part of a non-governmental entity?
Your email and registration will be kept on file. In the future, if modules become available for
industry, you will be notified.
How do I download ERDSS?
After approval, the download link will be emailed to your registered email address.
Can I distribute ERDSS to everyone on my team?
It is recommended that when distributing ERDSS to more than one operator the
process should be done through the organization’s technology representative.
How will I learn how to use ERDSS?
ERDSS provides a brief tutorial, help documentation, and
training resources to authorized users. Contact us for on-site training opportunities.
ERDSS doesn’t work with my current operating system. What should I do?
